Mariners Safety Improved with Assistance Button

EMA has developed an Assistance Button Module to ensure the single most important thing at sea – mariners’ safety!

It's obvious that radio communication technology is not nearly enough to ensure the single most important thing at sea – mariners’ safety! Be it commercial or leisure, safety at sea is the ultimate concern of skippers. They know that crew’s well-being at sea, or even their very lives themselves, are easily endangered by the elements of nature, equipment failure, and human error, as well.

The BlueTraker team is fully aware of that, so we have developed an Assistance Button Module as part of the BlueTraker Fleet Tracking and Monitoring solution.

When crew member calls for help in distress situation, they can use the advanced Assistance Button functionality. The Assistance Button module is unique – it will operate even when the vessels own power fails; not an uncommon situation at sea. When pressed, the Assistance button automatically triggers an alert message, together with vessel’s location, and identification data.
