BlueTraker VMS receives Type Approval for Canadian market

BlueTraker® VMS high-security fisheries monitoring satellite terminals have received a Type Approval from the Canadian authority. With this approval, BlueTraker® devices gained permission for distribution in the Canadian market.

On November 25 2015, after an extensive testing approval process on land and at sea, Fisheries & Oceans Canada (DFO) has placed the BlueTraker® VMS terminal on the DFO list of approved VMS units, permitting sales and installations throughout the Canadian territories.

BlueTraker® VMS fisheries monitoring satellite terminals are wireless gateway devices with Iridium satellite network communication option, offering worldwide fisheries communication and reporting coverage—even in the most problematic signal coverage areas, such as A4 geographic location in the Northern hemisphere.

“The BlueTraker® VMS terminals offer All in one Box tracking and monitoring solutions with upgrading connectivity possibilities to support remote vessel monitoring for various purposes.”

Compared to other tracking and monitoring solutions, BlueTraker® terminals offer an “All in one Box” security solution, a robust and high-security design and better overall performance for the same or lower cost of operation. An Arctic version of the BlueTraker® device is also available, developed for operation in extreme weather conditions in temperatures down to -50°C.
